2024
The 2024 World Bulk Wine Exhibition was a first for Paltank in many ways. It was the first time we had publicly marketed our sister company, PalFreight, and all the fantastic services they provide, and it was also the very first time we had exhibited at WBWE, welcoming hundreds of visitors to our stand over the two days of the show.
2023
In 2023, PalTank Launched its own in-house customs department named PalFreight. This dedicated team manages all customs processes for the UK, and since going live, PalFreight has experienced steady growth. PalFreight has swiftly become a vital component of our operations, overseeing everything from documentation to compliance checks, ensuring that all shipments adhere to the most current customs rules and regulations.
2021
We have grown from a home office in Formby to become a global solution provider for the bulk wine and spirit market, serving over 85 countries, incorporating over 200 routes, and covering 6 continents.
2019
2019 was an end of an era but the start of a new chapter, as it saw Ken Pomford retire and his daughter Caroline Pomford take over as Managing Director to propel PalTank forward with a new drive and vision.
2015
Our development throughout the years meant we now have a 2,000 strong fleet of food grade containers and split compartment tanks. Allowing us to service both small and blue-chip companies globally.
2009
As a company we fully believe in continuous development, from our business, fleet to our staff. This has allowed us to develop into new markets and offer our customers a service that is second to none.
2006
With the worldwide alcohol trade growing, we began to arrange transport for the exportation to Europe of many Australian, New Zealand and South African wines; Scottish whisky and English cider; American whiskey and beer, cider, wine, and spirits around Europe.
2004
In 2004 we started deep sea shipments across the Atlantic and Indian oceans for our worldwide customers.
2003
Over the next year we continued to develop and grow as a team. We outgrew the home office and moved into our first fully operational office. A place we still call HQ today.
2002
Working from a single office in Formby; Ken Pomford, Keith Wise and a small team began with the very first order, loading wine in France with delivery into the United Kingdom.
