As a global Bulk Liquid Food Grade Transport company, we’re committed to understanding and implementing the necessary steps to reduce the carbon footprint of all our worldwide shipments.
Bulk shipments are the greener alternative, as shipping in bulk allows reductions of approximately 45% in Nitrogen Oxide and Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) compared to shipping pre-packed goods.
ISO Tanks are purpose built and reused time and time again, there is nothing to dispose of unlike flexi tanks and there are no breakages that are to be expected when shipping in bottles.
An ISO tank can hold 26000 litres of liquid, which is equal to roughly 34,666+ 75CL bottles. All in the same space as a 20ft shipping container.
Not only is there a benefit in an increased volume, our ISO tanks are also insulated, which offers greater protection from temperature fluctuations when compared with flexi tanks in particular.

What are we doing to help the environment?
All aspects of the environment are important to us, and we try to do our bit wherever we can. We have taken several measures around the office including –
Going paperless
We use absolutely no paper for our work unless it’s essential. Everything we need is electronic.
Recycling push
We encourage all our employees to recycle anything they may have in the office. Whether it be food/drink packaging, or even things like our Christmas tree are decorated with recycled decorations!
Beach Cleanups
We also often participate in local activities like beach clean-ups. We are blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the world, and our coastline is second to none. It’s important to all at the company that we cherish where we live. If we all do small things it can make a big difference.
Greener and cleaner
CCT Savings
Alcohol entering the UK from non-EU sources will be liable to common customs tariff (CCT), which is levied at a lower rate for containers exceeding two litres in capacity. This can generate CCT savings of up to £800 per container!
Extended shelf life
Shipping in ISO tanks also extends the shelf life of the product, as it is bottled closer to market. This means that Australian wines bottled in the UK will extend their shelf life by 6 weeks when compared to wines bottled at origin.
Multimodal – Reliable, Quick & Environmentally friendly
By transporting our ISO tanks by rail to local transport hubs and delivering by truck for the final leg of the journey, we save up to 80% on carbon emissions, whilst also offering a timetabled, predictable delivery time. This can be invaluable when handling just in time deliveries and allow our clients to plan their supply chain efficiently, especially when compared to the often-unpredictable motorway systems.
